I’ve spent the last 30 minutes reading through all of these memories people have posted and I will admit, several of them have gotten me choked up and sobbing.
I never really got to know Khell all that well. His break from the game mostly coincided with my decade long binge. That said, I definitely remember the Black Tie affairs, the hand out ships, the IPO’s and the wild stories. My first impression was that of a Grumpy old man with a personality that fit his name sake. Khellendros, for those who aren’t aware is an enormous, ancient, Blue Dragon in the Dragonlance and Forgotten Realms settings. As many others have pointed out, Khell wasn’t so much an individual as a larger than life personality.
Reading all of the posts from GG, Sheria and Taram as well as numerous other Playboys and Highlanders really drove home the impact that one person can have on so many others.
While I have moved on in life and don’t get to talk to any of you as often as I would like, I miss you all!
